About catpyjamas
Cats are very sensitive animals, they understand your moods, routines and habits.
I think it is very important that when you go away, your cats are left with a normal routine. Catteries can be a great security base if your cat is a sociable pet that gets on with anyone and can adapt to any situation, but I find that these cats are quite rare. Unfortunately, many cats arrive home from the cattery with stress related problems like UTIs. It's not a fault of the cattery and the people who work there, it happens because cats are habitual creatures who like stability and security in their own surroundings. Cat’s are not meant to be locked up for too long in the same area with unfamiliar smells and particularly, other cats. They take this issue very seriously and they do tend to suffer when this happens.
Therefore, I started Cat Pyjamas in 2017 to help all the nervous and emotional cats in the Hope Valley who would much prefer to stay at home and wait patiently for the company of their friends and keepers to arrive home.
I grew up looking after many cats and kittens with my mother who once had 24 cats living with her. She has such a calm, patient and deep caring nature for all wildlife and has saved many from death or harm. I have learnt a lot from her over many years.
I am always looking out for animals that need help, or for the unlucky ones that have been killed by a careless driver and left on the road. I will always move a dead animal off the road and to a more serene place for it to leave our hectic world.
Cats can be reassured that if I am hired to keep a watchful mind over them, I won't let them down. They can have sleep ins, stay up late to play, have tasty snacks and everything else that is asked of me to care for them while their loved ones are away. I always do what I can to allow them to feel settled with me and feel safe.
I have cared for many cats since I started and all my clients are very happy with my services and return to book me every time they go away. Please have a read of some testimonials.
I adore cats and I understand that when you go away it's a big worry. Taking cats away from their environment causes them a lot of stress and anxiety and I feel they do best in their own home. I feel very sensitive to their needs and I get a lot of satisfaction from seeing them thriving in a loving home.
